Abstract

This study examines the implementation of personal hygiene among food handlers at Megumi Kitchen Catering and Cake in Blitar City. Personal hygiene is a crucial aspect in the food industry to prevent the transmission of diseases through food. The research aims to analyze the facilities for hygiene, the cleanliness behavior of food handlers, workers’ health status, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The methods used include direct observation and interviews with food handlers. The results indicate that the implementation of personal hygiene at Megumi Kitchen Catering and Cake is generally good, but there are still some areas that need improvement, particularly in the use of PPE and monitoring the health of food handlers. This study is expected to serve as a reference for related parties in enhancing personal hygiene standards to ensure the safety and quality of the food served.
